I Know I'm a Soppy Ha'P'Orth

But is it silly to be wiping away a few tears for Neil Gaiman's cat?

Nope. It's the sweetest thing. And a restoration of my faith after seeing the Amanda Palmer pics.

omg. yes. I have to confess that his relationship with her has made me think somewhat less of him, unless she has significant Hidden Depths.

Butting in with my two cents, since I am a bit of an Amanda Palmer/Dresden Dolls devotee.... She is definitely Quite A Character, but I would certainly argue that she has depths, although perhaps not hidden ones (nothing very much about her is hidden, as you may have noticed). She seems to me to be a very passionate, genuine artist-person who, um, happens to have occasional bouts of public nudity. But hey, some people juggle geese!

But yes, reading about poor Zoe is definitely heartbreaking. :(

Not a bit, imho. Cats have dear personalities just like every other creature, especially when they're well-loved.
