The Hardest Thing in this World...

...is to live in it.

More Buffy.

Watched "The Gift" on the weekend, then of course had to watch "Bargaining" and "After Life." "After Life" was tonight.

Once again I'm gobsmacked (there you go, lidocafe) by how flipping marvellous the writing is.
The two scenes in "After Life" with Spike. First, when he's able to tell her almost to the minute how long she's been gone. The second where, well, you know, she says where she was. And he's the only one who can really understand. The only one who even looks beyond how happy they all are that she's back and asks if she's really okay. It's so subtle, and so profound.

Yes. Profound.

  • The Weakness in Me

Robinson's death has hit me hard. Also, the general feeling of doglessness. I haven't been without a dog, except for when on holiday, for eighteen…
