Cue Peter, Paul and Mary

But not for a day or two...

I'm in that curious limbo of the person who is about to travel. All, or almost all, of my preparations are done. My hair is cut, shopping has been shopped, bills have been paid. I'm endeavouring to eat everything in my fridge. Tomorrow, I shall groom Robinson and clean my house, and then it is rumoured that I'm going to see "Up" with lidocafe and her daughter. On Monday, I will buy a bank draft to pay the balance of my Venice apartment, take an elderly friend to the doctor and then deposit Tabitha with my friend kp, where she will muck in with three other cats and, I suspect, have an enormous fuss made of her and have the time of her life. And then... and then... on Tuesday morning I deposit Robinson with HIS caregivers, and ... it's off to London with me! (I hear there is to be a Strike on the Underground ... oh well... I shall walk everywhere).

I think I will have wifi where ever I go, so do stay tuned for updates and pics :)

"all my bags are packed"
What memories you brought back just now. I read your entry title, then read the entry--and then the song came flooding into my head.

Will very much enjoy your reports from across the ocean!

Have a wonderful time!

Have several cream teas and a few attractive Brits for me!

Also, Ian McKellen is starring in Waiting for Godot at the Haymarket, along with Patrick Stewart. If I could go, I would.

Thank you!

Yes, the fangrrrls Waiting for Godot! I tried to buy a ticket online but it's sold out. I'm going to try the same day half-price ticket route. Failing that, there's a revival of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia, which I've always wanted to see a production of.

Have a lovely time! The weather here in London is not too bad just now (for British weather!), and even i the tube strike goes ahead, the buses are pretty good and you get to see more.

Thank you! Yes - I think we visitors tend to rely too much on the underground because it seems easier. Being forced to travel by bus is not a bad thing :-)

Bon Voyage
Two more sleeps! Wow! In anticipation of your trip and as a feature of vicarious living, I'm already spending far more time than normal staring at jet streams. Have a wonderful time. Enjoy positively everything. Can't wait to start seeing the photos.

Bells on your fingers, rings on your toes and wifi wherever you go! Really looking forward [insert jinx-aversion through finger-crossing here] to meeting you in Bristol!
