Book Squee

My copy of the J.R.R. Tolkien Encyclopedia arrived today. It's wonderful. It's the kind of reference book that you are just going to spend hours and hours dipping into and following up cross-references. I am particularly chuffed about the fact that Michele from Scholar's Blog is one contributor and even more that owlfish is another (see her article on Technology). I read the editor-in-chief's blog, and he announced a while back that only 800 copies were published. I immediately logged on to Amazon, and got the last copy available on amazon.ca. Yay!!

  • The Weakness in Me

Robinson's death has hit me hard. Also, the general feeling of doglessness. I haven't been without a dog, except for when on holiday, for eighteen…

My tribute to Robinson, blogged elsewhere.
