Jeanette Winterson has made the longlist of the Carnegie Medal for her children's book Tanglewreck. I haven't read this yet; indeed, the excerpts that I've seen made it look like "more of same": all the preoccupations of her previous novels for adults, even some of the same catch-phrases turning up again. But I've read one or two quite favourable reviews elsewhere, and like her work (obviously, having done my dissertation on her), so feel I should give it a try.
